I thought it was a good game, albeit a bit tense to watch with the result in the balance right up to the final whistle. I'm not a fan of artificial pitches, but the surface does force teams to play, and I thought we adapted well against a team obviously used to the surface. And we had enough chances to make the game safe, missing a number in the second half with only the keeper to beat, before Claudio finally made one count. Having said that, we had some luck when they hit our post and it rebounded into Charlie's arms. But that aside, apart from the goals, whilst they had lots of possession, I didn't think they came close to scoring very often. So I would say a deserved victory. Here's hoping we can finally beat North Leigh next Saturday.

If we don't beat them this time we can officially declare them our bogey team.

It's about time we played a team that wasn't a 'form' team (North Leigh). I thought that Ciren played the ball around very well and looked a lot better than their position in the league. With about 15 mins to go I was thinking we'll do well to come away with a point. 3 points are 3 points though and other games went our way. Hoping injuries aren't going to plague us...First Rhys (hopefully not risking a start will have been a stitch in time), Lewis not coming out for second half and Owen with some sort of tug. Overall, good day out even if it was a rather chilly one!

Perfunctory write up from Cirencester here

My take on yesterday was I was mightily relieved at the final whistle. I think Cirencester would have scored come back again if there had been longer left.
Tom W looked like he hadn't trained for a few weeks, and he wasn't the only one.
Banana skin avoided. On to the next one.
