Sorry to be boring but 3-1 was the score I had in mind! Players coming back (TW especially), effective strike force now with potential options (?), momentum gathering...Happy New Year Whites fans!

Also I shall be going back in time... I was going to drive but have just realised that my MoT ran out today! Is there a coach (are there any spaces)(serious question)...or are we using a DeLorean shuttle bus Hahahaha (joke relating to the 'back in time' reference)?

4-0 to Salisbury. Our lads seem to find scoring easy at the moment. I am a bit concerned about the 3G though. Bad memories of going out of the trophy against Maidstone. I’m missing today but have a good day guys.

Not been able to get to many matches over the last couple of months, and can't make it today either, so will be avidly hanging on the Twitter feed. Looks like Danny Young got one for us, but Cirencester equalised. 1-1 at HT. Hoping Neliniho's prediction of 3-1 to the whites will be accurate!

3-2 to the Mighty Whites: Young, Howe and Herbert I believe. No idea if it was a good match, but a great result and another 3 points on the table. COYW

It was an excellent match with some good football from both sides and the result was in the balance right to the end. I know the purists won't like this but I thought the match was a great advert for the 3G pitch, producing some of the best passing football I've seen at this level for a long time.

Great result on an unfamiliar surface. This could have been a banana skin. I wouldn't call myself a purist but I've always believed if football is played on sand it's called beach football, if it's played in the streets, it's street football and if it's played indoors, it's, well you get the idea. So, if it's played on 3G shouldn't it be it's own sport and be called 3G football? I realise that 3G has advantages over standard pitches in bad weather but I can't get over my dislike for it.

Both times we went ahead we just seemed to stop doing what we had been doing. That said we should have put it to bed at 2-1 with some good chances missed. Owen scored a blinder but I hope his groin isn't too bad as he looked like he was struggling a bit. That said Ollie Mayhew looked lively when he came on, making some great runs in behind and could have had a hat trick but their keeper made some good saves. I just want to see the team go for the throat when they get ahead, not seem to treat it like a training match.
I'll be interested to see what their point of view was because if I was them I would feel very hard done by losing that but in the end it was a hard one 3 points on a surface that whilst unfamiliar should really have suited they way we like to play.

I know a lot of supporters who feel the same way but I just judge the match on what I see and that is a far superior surface for playing football. Indeed the "grass" of certain premiership pitches is semi-synthetic I believe. It may have been an unfamiliar surface to our players but some of them eg Tom Whelan took to it easily and we saw better ball control, quick turns and sharp passing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't enjoy seeing players embarrassed by a ball hitting divots and bobbling about every few minutes. But I already see that some reports of the match are describing it as like a training match.......I just didn't see that.

Actually I think it did suit us and the way we like to play. Its just that Cirencester also have to play that way and they proved pretty good at it! I agree, I think they'll feel pretty aggrieved to have lost that.

Great result, which was exactly what was needed with other teams slipping up. A bit of day light now at the top but need to keep on winning. Don’t let it slip now.

It's a good sign that the team is now winning those games which could have gone either way or even those games like last week where the opposition thinks they were robbed.
